2007 Beer Can Series Results
Burnham Park Yacht Club sponsors the Wednesday Night Beer Can Regatta. The Beer Can Regatta is an informal racing series for sailors to have a good time with their boat, family and crew. Any BPYC member with a sailboat is invited to participate. The racing is casual. There are two jib and main sections a T-10 section and three spinnaker sections. There are fourteen races starting with a Tune-Up race on May 21 and Wednesdays May 28 through Sept 3 with no race on July 23 for a low registration fee of only $50.00.
The races are run at the Starting Area 7 Olympic circle just east of the Burnham Harbor entrance. The boats typically head out to the race a 6:00 pm and get back before 8:30 pm. Following the race, back at the club, the results are posted, the rum is awarded and the stories begin. Discount drinks and a light meal are available.
